I LOVE THAT BOOK.

I USED TO HAVE AN RP BASED ON IT.

Is admins explaining the disorder wrong in the bio. That’s probably where at least some of the problem comes from.

For example, people aren’t born with Multiple Personality Disorder, they develop it after extreme trauma such as mental, physical, and/or sexual abuse. And it’s not inherited.

Also, most people with MPD (or DID; Dissociative Identity Disorder, as it’s known now) don’t know they have anything wrong with them until they’re diagnosed. They don’t hear voices, the other personalities take over when the main personality becomes stressed or scared, or even in different social situations that the other personalities feel they need to protect the main from.

And this is why I don’t join asylum roleplays…

roleplay-killer:

If a face claim looks a certain age, even though they’re younger or older, and you make them that age, then I think that’s okay. Lucy Hale looks 16, even though she’s 22. So I think it’s fine to make her 16.

I think if they look that age then it’s fine, and Lucy Hale yeah, she can look 16. But if you’re using a 22 year old who doesn’t in any way look like a teenager then it’s not okay.

Also, I’m talking about people who use MGG, Ian Somerholder, Betty White, Will Smith, Megan Fox, as 15, 16, 17 year olds when they don’t even look close to those ages. (Betty White is an exaggeration, but I’m sure someone would do it.)

While I was watching the Notebook the other night I realized it’s Hollywood’s fault for admins using FC’s that are in their 20’s and even 30’s or 40’s for high school characters. I’m not saying it’s completely their fault, but I mean…In the Notebook they used Rachel McAdams as both the 16 year old Allie and the adult Allie. She was what, 28 at the time? In Grounded For Life (A TV show) they’ve cast 28 year old Lynsey Bartilson as a teenager. In my opinion she looks older than her ‘parents’ Cory Monteith. He’s almost 30. He’s only a few years younger than my mom, and he plays a what, an 18 year old in Glee?

No. Instead of casting like Hollywood does, why don’t you use actual teens to play teen characters? It’s a funny concept, isn’t it?

Rachel McAdams can’t play the Queen Bitch, but she could play the homely kindergarten teacher.
Lynsey Bartilson…well I don’t think I’ve seen her used in roleplays.
And Cory Monteith could be the…I dunno…closet gay firefighter.

Really, anything is better than them playing teens.

What you think, what could be changed, what’s good, whats bad. All of that. I want actual feedback, not just ‘Oh that’s nice.’

Reposting because I can.
